The type of information collected depends on what you choose to share but may include:

  • Your name, email address, phone number, and account credentials.

  • Demographic details (such as gender, race, and country).

  • Your delivery address and other profile preferences.

  • Employment information (including work and education history, transcripts, and references for job applications).

  • Contact details of individuals you invite to the Service, including their name, email, and phone number, collected with your consent to fulfill your request. This feature is for U.S. residents only, and by using it, you confirm that both you and your contacts are based in the U.S. and that you have their permission to share their information.

Information from Social Media Pages and Chatbots

We manage pages on social media platforms like Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook (“Social Media Pages”). When you interact with these pages or our chatbot (e.g., on Facebook Messenger), we collect any details you provide, such as your contact information. If you reference HoF publicly on social media (e.g., using a related hashtag in a post or tweet), we may feature your mention in connection with our Service. Additionally, social media platforms may share aggregate data and insights about user interactions with our pages.

Information from Social Media Log-ins

We may integrate pixels or SDKs into our Service, allowing you to log in to HoF using social media credentials. If you use this feature, we receive information from the social media platform based on your authorization. Note that the platform itself may also collect data about you independently.

Information Collected Automatically from Your Use of the Service

When you visit or interact with the Service, we automatically receive data about your usage. This may include:

  • Log data: Your IP address, browser type and settings, date and time of access, and details about how you interact with the Service.

  • Device information: Your device name, operating system, internet service provider, regional and language settings, device identifiers (e.g., IP address), and browser type. The specifics of this data depend on your device settings.

  • Usage information: Insights into how you engage with our Service, including the content you view, features you use, actions you take (such as browsing or purchasing Meals), emails you read, and the timing, frequency, and duration of your activities.

Additionally, we track metrics such as the number of visitors to the Service, peak visit times, pages viewed, links clicked, text entered, mouse movements, referral sources (e.g., Google, Facebook), browser types, and general or precise location data (e.g., city-level from an IP address or exact latitude/longitude for meal delivery).

Information from Third-Party Sources

We may collect data from external sources, including:

  • Data brokers who provide supplemental information.

  • Partners offering co-branded services, distributing our products, or participating in joint marketing efforts.

  • Public sources, including publicly available data.

If you sign up as a Seller on the Service, we gather details such as:

  • Your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.

  • Health code enforcement agency permit number (where applicable).

  • Government-issued identification (e.g., driver’s license).

  • Demographic details, account credentials, and financial information.

  • Additional information collected by service providers assisting in the Seller process.

This data is used to create and manage your HoF account and facilitate communication between you and customers purchasing Meals through the Service.

Cookies

We use cookies to operate and manage our Site, collect usage data, enhance security, serve advertisements outside our Service, and improve user experience. A "cookie" is a small data file sent to your browser by a website. Cookies may be temporary (session cookies), which expire when you log out, or long-lasting (persistent cookies), which remain on your device until they expire or are deleted. Persistent cookies help recognize your device on future visits. For more details, visit www.allaboutcookies.org.

Pixels

We use tracking pixels (also called web beacons), which are snippets of code embedded in websites, videos, emails, or ads that send data about your activity to a server. Pixels can be image-based (tiny graphics) or JavaScript-based. When you interact with a pixel, it may allow us or third parties to drop or read cookies on your browser. These pixels, including those from Facebook and GetEmail, help us measure conversions, deliver targeted ads outside the Service, and enable integrations such as linking our Service with your social media accounts.

Analytics

We use analytics tools like Google Analytics to understand user behavior and improve the Site. These tools use cookies to track and report site usage. To learn more about Google’s data practices, visit Google’s Privacy Policy. To opt out of Google Analytics tracking, visit Google Analytics Opt-Out or Google Ads Settings.

Online Tracking and Targeted Advertising

Our advertising and analytics partners, including Facebook and Google, use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies to monitor your browsing behavior over time and across various sites. This data helps deliver relevant ads on different platforms.

We also use audience matching (a type of targeted advertising) to reach people who have previously visited our Service or have similar interests. This involves sharing hashed email addresses with ad partners or embedding their tracking pixels in our Service to match common data points. For example, we use the Facebook pixel and may share your email address with Facebook for Custom Audiences.

Third parties involved in targeted advertising may act as our service providers or process data independently. We encourage reviewing their privacy policies and terms for more details.

Do Not Track (DNT) Signals

Our Site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals and will continue to function as described in this Privacy Policy regardless of a DNT request. If we begin honoring DNT signals in the future, we will update this policy accordingly. For more on DNT, visit www.allaboutdnt.com.

Aggregated or De-Identified Information

We review all legal requests for validity and, whenever possible, will notify you if your information is being disclosed unless legally prohibited. If required under the Microenterprise Home Kitchen Operation (MEHKO) law in California, we may also disclose permit holder information to regulatory agencies, including customer complaints and customer lists.

  • Affiliates: We share information with affiliated entities under common ownership or control with HoF. These affiliates may use the data in accordance with this Privacy Policy, either as service providers or for internal business purposes.

  • User Requests & Consent: We may share your information at your request or with your explicit consent.

Additionally, we may share de-identified or aggregated data that does not personally identify you, except where prohibited by law. For details on your rights regarding data sharing, refer to the “Your Rights and Choices” section below.

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, while we have a business need to do so, or as required by law (e.g. for tax, legal, accounting or other purposes), whichever is the longer period of time.

Upon your request, we will take steps to delete the information we have collected from you; however, we may retain information that we have a legal obligation or business need to maintain so long as is reasonably necessary.
